I recently received a call from a frustrated female who just couldn’t get the paint color right in her great room. She confessed that she had her husband paint the room three times with slightly different colors and was still unhappy.
Tip for selecting a paint color: The lighting in your home is the best place to match samples, but as a starting point you can bring an item from the room with you, such as a pillow. When you’re in the paint store, take the paint swatches and your fabric sample from home over to the window to see them in natural light. I’ve even stepped outside if the store has tinted windows.
